Places To Go

Proximity to New York City adds to the attraction of the East End. That hasn’t prevented communities from developing their own show stoppers. In Sag Harbor alone these include a nationally renown theater, a major whaling museum, a dusty, musty art movie house with requisite popcorn and festival films.

Toddler story hours, teen computer classes, lists of comminity programs...If they don't have it, they will find it for you!

Take a rainy day to show the kids "life in the olden days":  Sag Harbor's whaling heritage, East Hampton's colonial village, studios of East End artists.  Visit a grist mill in Water Mill, or the Museum of Native American History in Southampton.

Learning Centers and Tutors

Besides movie theatres, community libraries often have regularly scheduled film series.  Watch local newspapers for the famous film festivals of the East End.

Theatre is acting, writing, music, set and costume design, puppetry and, not least importantly, enthusiastic audience participation.
